Course Benefits:
Primavera gives today’s project managers and schedulers
the one thing they value most: control. It enables project teams
to collaborate in real time on contracts and their modifications,
drawings, and submittals, meeting minutes, and correspondence to
help anticipate issues and control projects to a successful
conclusion. During this course participants will gain a thorough
background in the concepts of planning and scheduling while
learning Primavera and Microsoft Project.
Time Allocation:
Project Management is a 60 hour course comprised of 15 sessions.
This course will include:
Fundamentals of project management
Establishing the project and coding structures
The role of Project in the Microsoft Enterprise solution
Calendars
Planning activities
Organizational activities
Scheduling project tasks
Scheduling constraints and layouts
Producing effective output
Managing resources with Microsoft Project
Adding to and defining project groups
Finalizing a project plan
Updating a project and recording progress
Building custom views and reports
Deploying project data to the Internet
Troubleshooting active projects
This course is ideal for:
Civil, Structural, HVAC and other construction professionals.
Prerequisite:
Previous Drafting, Engineering or Architecture experience or knowledge.
